These are absolutely great to eat! The peanuts are unusually crisp and crunchy, and are delightfully spicy with the flavor of the hot red chili shards and (more exotic) Szechuan peppercorns which make your mouth tingle. The chunks of chili and little Szechuan peppercorns mixed with the peanuts are also crispy crunchy, and very potent. I think the salt must be infused into the peanuts somehow, not sprinkled on, because I found no grains of salt. The spices from a bag (after I sorted out the peanuts) weighed about 4 grams.

My 5-star rating is based entirely on the product, not the price. I can get these peanuts for $1.59/bag at an Asian grocery store here in Sacramento. To send some to a friend as a gift using Amazon, with shipping costs I paid $17.92 which is $4.48/bag for four bags.
